This is the best news we’ve heard all year and it’s only January 2nd!  Hoda Kotb has been named to replace Matt Lauer as the new Today Show Co-anchor.

Co-host Savannah Guthrie made the announcement this morning, calling it “the most popular decision NBC News has ever made.”

“Hoda, you are a partner, and a friend and a sister and I am so happy to be doing this,” Guthrie said.
